We are raising funds to support a graduating high school senior as she takes a once-in-a-lifetime step toward her dream: auditioning for The Juilliard School in New York City.
Her audition takes place January 6–8, and we are seeking support to help cover airfare and lodging so she can focus fully on showing up as the artist she has worked so hard to become.
Why This Matters
This student is not chasing a dream on a whim — she has earned this moment.
For the past three years, she has committed herself to monthly voice and acting lessons, showing up consistently, doing the work, and pushing herself to grow. She has been cast in multiple independent films, gaining on-set experience and learning the discipline of professional storytelling. On her campus, she has participated in every CAFE JUNTOS community arts/performance event, using her voice and talent to uplift Black and Brown stories and build unity through performance. She has participated in many film clinics (including GetLit) to understand the actors experience from behind the camera and she is a founding participant in her school’s new CTE/AME film writing curriculum, “Telling Our Own Stories.”
Most recently, she was a leading cast member in her school’s original stage production, Amicus Mortuus (Dead Homie), which played to a sold-out audience at the Miracle Theater — a powerful testament to both her talent and her ability to connect deeply with audiences.
Why Juilliard?
Juilliard represents more than prestige. It represents rigor, discipline, and the highest level of artistic training — exactly the environment this student has been preparing for. She approaches her craft with humility, curiosity, and courage. She studies the classics. She takes risks. She listens. She grows.
This audition is not just an opportunity for her — it is a chance for a young artist from a community-rooted, public-school background to bring her voice into elite artistic spaces that need new perspectives, lived experience, and authenticity.
How You Can Help

Every donation — whether $5, $10, $25, or $100 — helps remove obstacles and sends a clear message: her voice matters.
Investing in the Future
Supporting this journey means investing in a young artist who has already proven her dedication, resilience, and commitment to community. It means saying yes to talent, yes to discipline, and yes to the power of the arts to change lives.
Thank you for helping her take this next step toward Juilliard — and toward a future where her voice continues to inspire, challenge, and uplift others.
