Help a wrongly convicted man

Norman McIntosh spent 15 years in prison for a crime that he did not commit. Norman’s father was diagnosed with terminal cancer two years ago, but he vowed to live until his son was free. Amazingly, he did! The Cook County State’s Attorney vacated Norman’s conviction in October. Sadly, Norman’s father died three weeks after Norman’s release. Norman has a son who was born after his arrest that he's never been able to see outside prison walls.

Despite all the hardship Norman has faced, he remains positive and hopeful for the future. Norman is truly an amazing person!

Due to all the time he had stolen from him, Norman has been having a difficult time finding a job. His father believed that he had set aside money for Norman to have a car, but the funds are sadly not there. Norman needs funds to purchase a car so he can drive to interviews (and go see his son play football!).

Norman will be entitled to money from the State of Illinois if he has a certificate of innocence granted. However, the Illinois legislature and governor cannot agree on a budget, so even if it's granted, it could be a year before those funds are dispersed. Norman can't wait a week due to lack of income, much less a year.
