Help a Working Class Boy make his Professional Debut!

Hello, my name is Ewan, I'm a self motivated performer and singer from Sheffield. I have previously worked in a few R&D projects, but this will be my first Professional Production. Pantomime is my favourite style of theatre, and I've performed in amateur panto for the past 11 years.

I auditioned for Magna Vitae Productions earlier this year for their Christmas Panto, Dick Whittington, in Skegness. I sent in video auditions and got cast in the role of Idle Jack. This would be my first professional pantomime and my first time performing outside of Sheffield.

For my accommodation, it would cost me £500. I’m currently on Universal Credit, have no long term employment since July and because of multiple financial difficulties outside of my control, finding £500 by the end of November is a big challenge.

Our accommodation got confirmed on October 24th, and they need the final payment by November 26th.

This isn’t even including food, toiletries, transportation etc.

As you can imagine, everything is starting to become unreachable and my dream of making a professional debut is hanging in the balance of the minute.

So I set up this GoFundMe as a means of asking my friends, family and wider community for support. Amateur dramatics has truly inspired me to step into the professional world. I love performing and to start my future performance career with this opportunity would be a dream come true, so I ask for your help to get over this financial barrier. The funds would go towards accommodation, food, toiletries, travel etc. No donation is too small, and all your help and support goes a long way.
