Anyone who has met our mom knows what a hard worker she has been her entire life. Two years ago, when she suffered a stroke, her body told her she had to quit working. Since then, my brother Jonah has been the sole provider for the two of them.

Until Friday morning when he returned home from his graveyard shift. He passed out trying to make it to his bedroom. EMTs took him to CMC where he was then admitted to the ICU. After a series of tests, the doctors decided to transfer him to Lubbock. Thankfully, both he and my mom arrived separately but safely to Lubbock last night. Unfortunately, they have yet to make an official diagnosis. The last thing I want either of them to have to think about is how they are going to keep the lights on.
