Three weeks before Christmas, our friend Kim learned she has breast cancer...Her doctors said she will need 8 rounds of chemotherapy , she will be facing major surgery. Chances are she won’t be able to work during her treatment, and as a self-employed hairdresser, her income will be reduced to zero.
Kim is a survivor. She’s faced more adversity in 43 years than most people twice her age. She’s already had a lumpectomy in her 30s. Then, in 2017, she survived the horrific mass shooting that killed 59 concertgoers in Las Vegas. We know she will beat cancer this time, too. But she’s going to need to focus on this fight, and not worry about keeping a roof over her head and food on the table.
Those of us who are lucky enough to know Kim know that she is THAT person – the one who shows up for her friends and family, the one who helps whenever and however she can, and the one whose sense of humor is matched only by her sense of adventure. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. Please consider contributing to this fund to help Kim cover her living expenses as she takes on yet another fight for survival. No donation is too small, as we know that every little bit will help and will be appreciated.
Thank you and God bless. May you and your loved ones know peace and good health this holiday season. Joan, Liz and Theresa
