That’s the amount of time Jade has to secure stability, safe transport, and a way forward after facing a loss of housing and access to transportation for themselves and their wolf dogs.
They are a wolf dog ambassador, videographer, and disabled individual who has dedicated their life to the ethical care, advocacy, and education surrounding wolf dogs. Their work has always centered the animals first, often at their own expense. Right now, the lack of reliable transportation has made an already fragile situation critical.
One of their wolf dogs, Saaya, has been experiencing a steady decline in health over the past nine months. Saaya suffers from Spondylosis and Hip Dysplasia, conditions that cause chronic pain and worsening mobility. They have been paying out of pocket every month for medication, including Novox, which has recently stopped being effective. As Saaya’s condition progresses, surgical intervention is becoming increasingly necessary.
Despite their own chronic health conditions, they continue to prioritize their dogs’ care. What they no longer have is the ability to transport them safely.
The Goal: Buy a Van before Eviction
Without transportation:
They cannot safely move Saaya or their other wolf dog
They cannot get the dogs to veterinary appointments or his future (and impending) surgery
They cannot relocate
They cannot run their videography business, which is their primary source of income
A reliable van is the single most important step toward stability. It would allow them to:
Safely transport Saaya
Resume working to fund ongoing medical care
Access housing options that require self-transport
Continue their advocacy and education work
This fundraiser’s primary goal is to raise funds for a van, because transportation is the foundation that makes everything else possible.
How the Funds Will Be Used
Purchase of a reliable used van suitable for transporting large animals
Registration, insurance, and immediate maintenance needs
Emergency transport for Saaya’s veterinary care
Why This Matters
Wolf dogs are often overlooked, misunderstood, and abandoned when care becomes difficult. My friend has spent over 12 years advocating for these animals and committing to their well-being. Now, they are asking for help to ensure their dogs stay safe, together, and cared for.
This isn’t about comfort or convenience. It’s about keeping a pack intact, reducing pain, and giving someone the means to continue caring for the animals who depend on them.
