Right now, a mother is praying for a miracle - a second chance to stay with her children. Our dear friend Octavia is in critical condition and fighting for her life.
A widowed mother of three, Octavia lost her husband in a tragic accident in 2019. Originally from Zimbabwe, Octavia moved to Grand Cayman to build a better future for her children. After years of sacrifice and working tirelessly on her own, she was able to reunite her children with her on the island.
Now, just as the family was rebuilding, she has been diagnosed with acute liver failure.
She urgently needs a liver transplant to survive.
Without the surgery, her children risk losing their mother.
The cost of the transplant and medical care is now up to $350,000. This total expense continues to grow as the costs of patient transportation has been added to the family's burden. Time is critical. Every day matters.
Please donate today. No amount is too small. If you're unable to give, share this page and help us spread the word.
Time is running out for one of the most caring, loving people I've ever met. Let's come together to save Octavia's life and prevent her children from losing their support system. caregiver and mother.
With the unfortunate passing of Octavia, we would like to make those that donated aware of where the funds are being directed.
Because funds cannot be transferred directly to Grand Cayman, I will be withdrawing the donations and wiring them directly to Chuck and Betty Ann Mobley to act as administrators for the children to support their daily care and education.
Thank you again for the support. It has been overwhelming.
