Help a widow with her husband's funeral

Hi, my name is Kevin. My father, Daniel, battled with cancer over the last 14 years. Due to this cancer, he was unable to renew his life insurance which would have helped pay for his final rites. As he was honorably discharged from the navy after 21 years of service, most of the charges are already paid for. However, the mortuary still needs about $3000 for transporting him, cremation services, and his final vessel. My mother, Tammy, has no current income. The look of despair in her eyes when she asked me "where is this money coming from?" broke my heart. Any help we can give her would be greatly appreciated.
