Help a Widow With 4 Kids After Devastating Loss

Hangasu Jillo 32 years old was born in Dallas, Texas and his parents moved him to Minneapolis in 1996. Hangasu went to high school in Spring Lake Park, MN.

He grew up in the Fridley area, and met his wife Helen Tadesse later on a trip to Ethiopia where they had their first son - Saladin and daughter Anna. After 3 years Hangasu was able to bring his wife and kids to Minnesota where they would build a life together.

 

 

On April 16, 2022 Less than 2 weeks after Helen gives birth to their 4th child Hangasu's life was cut short. Helen Tadesse is now a widow with 4 kids, Mindesu 2, Anna 4, Saladin 11 and 10 day old newborn baby Aqsa. Making things even more challenging, she has a broken leg. At the end of March Helen was leaving to a doctors appointment (keep in mind 9 months pregnant at this point, she slipped on a patch of ice and broke her ankle in 2 places) 1 week later she had to get screws in her ankle, going in for emergency surgery which was very stressful for her, the doctors said she would have to give birth ahead of schedule so Aqsa was born April 7, 2022 by emergency c section.

 

 

Just 2 weeks after Aqsa was born, her father Hangasu has passed away in a car accident at the age of 32. All the money raised will be used for funeral expenses and to help his wife and kids as he was the only provider for them.

 

We appreciate everyone helping in this difficult time, and praying for Hangasu and his family; his Mother Asha, Father Mohammed, Sisters and Brothers Ayanitu, Badriya, Biftu, Hindio, Abduljalil, Adam, Helen the kids and all the extended family.
