Hi! I’m Barbara. Thanks for stopping by to read my post. Here is is why I need your help. 

I’m a 75 year old widow on a fixed income, in the middle of radiation treatment (last zap today!!!) of

a cancer discovered while I was in the process of having two major emergency abdominal surgeries just a couple of months ago.(and next week!) Very scary.

Despite the enormous amount of medical uncertainty, I am looking forward to the future and setting up a day/night care facility for dogs and cats. I have decades of experience fostering and have a special relationship with the canine and feline species.

This current financial catastrophic condition is a cumulative result of extreme medical costs associated with my late husband’s two bouts with leukemia that ate up his pension. And then my fall off a 10 ft tall ladder (in bare feet) crushing my left foot and fracturing the right femur. But I am resilient and will recover from these new challenges, with help from you and from my friends, The only help I ever asked strangers for was to stop drinking and have been sober nearly 40 years, That worked!

I am asking for this help to:

 - Repay my brother

- Pay off the HELOC (this was not for home improvement but to pay for late husbands medical costs -)

 - Pay down remaining credit cards, currently interest only, 

 I never thought I’d be in this situation. Asking for financial help from friends and even people I've never met is genuinely the last thing I ever imagined having to do, But I will be deeply grateful for help in clearing these debts so that I can move forward with purpose, stability and hope.

And have my Bella home.
