Emergency Fundraiser for a Stray I Found…
Earlier this week I came across a stray in rough shape.
No clear direction in life.
Staring longingly toward the wilderness.
Dreaming about wide open spaces and salmon.
At first I thought it was a dog.
After a closer look… turns out it was just me.
Hi. I’m the stray.
This summer I have an opportunity to take a seasonal job in Alaska, and I’m trying to raise some funds to help cover the startup costs to get there—things like travel, initial lodging, and basic gear until the paychecks start rolling in.
I debated how to write this because let’s be honest… the internet will empty its wallets for a three-legged rescue puppy in about 4 minutes. A fully grown human chasing an adventure? Slightly tougher sell.
So while there is no actual injured golden retriever involved, there is a slightly confused human trying to make it to Alaska for a once-in-a-lifetime summer experience.
If you feel like helping this wandering “stray human” find her way north, I’d be incredibly grateful. Any amount helps, and sharing this is just as appreciated.
Worst case scenario: you helped fund a good story.
Best case scenario: you helped send someone on the adventure of a lifetime.
Thanks for reading and for helping this stray head to Alaska.
