Help a Vulnerable Senior Get Back on Her Feet After a Scam

Hi, I'm a Palliative Social Worker who assists Deborah Williamson with her medical, physical, and social needs. She is a senior adult on palliative care services, living on a fixed income, and usually managing just enough to get by.

I am helping Deborah to reach out for financial help after experiencing an incredibly difficult situation. She is not someone who typically asks for help, but she was scammed this month out of her monthly income. She is in an extreme tight spot and desperately in need of assistance to make it through until her Social Security check arrives next month.

Her bank account was scammed out of $1800 which has left her without the funds she relies on for basic needs like groceries and utility bills.

Her bank has not been helpful, and have placed the blame solely on Deborah (long story) without offering any support or assistance in recovering the lost funds.

Right now, she just needs some temporary help to get back on her feet. Any contribution, no matter how small, would go directly towards covering essential expenses until she can get back on track.
