Help a Veterinarian & Her Cats Start Over After Eaton Fire

Please help my friend, a Compassionate Veterinarian, and Her Cats After the Altadena Eaton Wildfire

Dear Community,

My name is Sueling. I am from Los Angeles and my dear friend Jessica, a dedicated veterinarian who has spent her life caring for animals, is now in need of our help.

We met working together at a small animal veterinary clinic and have since been friends.

She and her two beloved cats lost their home and all their belongings in the devastating Eaton fire that destroyed the Altadena community. The fire spread rapidly, leaving them with no time to save anything but their lives.

She has been in desperate need of shelter, food, clothing, and other essential supplies.

After she rebuilds her basic needs, her next steps of rebuilding her small business and her art is a long journey.

As some of you may know, Jessica has been recovering from 2 spinal cord injuries since 2018. She learned to walk and work again in her Altadena home. She still suffers from permanent injury to her spinal nerves and spinal cord and requires special furniture and supportive devices to be able to work. Jessica plans on rebuilding her small business and offering her specialized veterinary services again.

Jessica has always been the first to offer care and compassion to animals and their families during times of crisis by volunteering her time to them. Now, it’s our turn to give back to someone who has given so much to others.

I'm hoping to raise funds to help her cover basics and to begin saving towards what FEMA will not help cover. This will also help create a safe space for her and her cats to heal. The money will go toward:
  • Clothing
  • Housing
  • Hygiene
  • Medical Needs and Self Care
  • Food
  • Tools - Kitchen, Bathroom, Office
  • Furniture
  • Electronics to support her career as a veterinarian

Any amount, big or small, will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your network. Together, we can help Jessica start anew and remind her that she’s not alone in this journey.

Thank you for your kindness and support during this difficult time.

Our deepest gratitude,
Sueling and Jessica
