Help a veteran with vet and pet surgery fees
Donation protected
Today is international dog day. Many of you have a special four-legged friend you're celebrating today, and you get to enjoy the companionship of those fur babies everyday. My brother, a war veteran, and cancer survivor has two beautiful German shorthair pointer/Bernese mountain dog mixes that have been his companions for years, through cancer treatment and now the isolation of the pandemic.
One of those beautiful pups (they're forever puppies, right?), Sigurd, has developed a growth on his leg and the vet has determined that the best course of action is amputation. To give him the best shot, surgery has been scheduled for Sigurd in the next few days, and after multiple inquiries, only today was my brother informed the cost of the surgery. The amount to cover the amputation, in addition to the vet visits is a huge burden in a time that we're all already feeling a lot of strain. If you are able, because we know so many are hurting financially right now, please consider even a small donation to help get Sigurd the treatment he needs to help keep my awesome brother company for as much longer as is possible.
