My brother’s life changed in a matter of hours when devastating flooding hit Metamora, Indiana. The flood caused catastrophic damage to his home and belongings, leaving him facing the overwhelming task of figuring out where to go and how to begin rebuilding his life.
My brother is a disabled veteran who served our country, and now he needs his community’s help.
We are starting this fundraiser to help him with the immediate and long-term expenses caused by this disaster, including temporary housing, clothing, food, cleanup, replacing essential belongings, and the many unexpected costs that come with losing so much at once.
We are also reaching out to veteran organizations and disaster-relief programs for every resource available, but recovery from something of this magnitude will take time.
Any amount will help. If you aren’t able to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much to our family. Every donation and share helps get my brother one step closer to rebuilding and having a safe place to call home again.
Thank you for supporting a veteran and our family during an incredibly difficult time.
