Help A Vet Get His Daughter Home & Back on Her Feet Again
Donation protected
My friend Don is a 94-year-old Korean War Era veteran, who served 34 years in the Army, rising to the rank of Colonel. Don's daughter Jane was his and his wife Rita’s sole caregiver, on call 24/7, with only 8 days off from that care in the last 2 years. Her care for them started as a short-term sabbatical from her job and life in California. The care snowballed into 2 years’ time where Jane expended ALL her assets to ensure Don and Rita were cared for with dignity and respect. Don and Rita are now secure and safe in assisted living. However, as that progression from their home into the assisted living played out, there was nothing left to help Jane get home, back on her feet and sustain herself until she gets a job. In tribute to Jane’s selfless service to Don and Rita, help us raise enough to provide Jane and her service dog, Ruby transportation home and 3 months expenses (food, rent, utilities). This would give Jane the time and security to find a job and give her some rest from the amazingly demanding work over these last 2 years. Don fears for his daughter’s welfare. He is afraid that she will end up homeless and destitute, while he is powerless to help her in any way. Help us help this decorated veteran find peace in knowing his daughter has safely returned to her home and is able to resume the life she gave up in California to care for her aging parents. All money raised that exceeds our goal will be donated to Veteran's Outreach of Wisconsin.
