Hello friends! I am asking for help raising money for a small kiln. I have been making pottery for over six years now and I’m at the point where I am selling pretty much everything I make (I love having this problem). Currently I go to a veteran’s art program once a week and fire there, but the turn around is very slow, sometimes over a month to get a piece back and then another month to finish it. I’ve been doing research and there are several small kilns that I can plug into an outlet in my home without calling an electrician to rewire anything and this is what I will move forward on with purchasing. Thankfully, I have training with kilns like these and already feel comfortable firing my own work. With this personal kiln I can do more shows than twice a year and continue to supplement my income making art. My cat would also love me having my own kiln as I can work from home more and continue to focus on my heath.
