My brother is a veteran and a devoted family man who has always put his loved ones first. Over three years ago, our family was devastated when his wife was diagnosed with several aggressive cancers. As the sole provider, he balanced work with caring for her, taking her to countless doctor appointments and hospital visits, all while making sure his two children at home were cared for. He never complained—he simply did what needed to be done. Tragically, he lost his wife over three years ago, and just three months ago, we lost our father to cancer as well. Through it all, my brother never had the chance to properly grieve, as he had to keep working to support his family.
Now, life has dealt him another blow. Nearly three years after his wife's passing, he began experiencing serious health issues. He has been diagnosed with Metastatic Well Differentiated Neuroendocrine Tumor (WHO Grade 1) in his liver. From what we’ve learned, this cancer may be linked to his exposure to burn pits during his military service and toxins from the 9/11 attacks, where he was at ground zero in New York. On top of this, he has developed heart issues and now needs open heart surgery, but only if he becomes strong enough for the procedure. Despite struggling to breathe or walk, he continues to work because he has no other options, even though it puts his health at further risk.
I know you may not know my family, but if you could donate anything, it would help cover the costs of his cancer and heart surgeries, his ongoing care, and living expenses for him and his family while he recovers. Your support would give him the chance to heal without the fear of losing everything. Please help save my brother.
