I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a friend and fellow student at Union Theological Seminary, who is currently facing potential eviction due to an outstanding balance for summer housing fees.

Although this student is incredibly hardworking, driven, consistent, and kind, they have faced many obstacles to higher education. Among these obstacles is ineligibility for federal aid, which means they are unable to receive loans to cover summer housing costs for which we are now asking the community for help.

This student is also in the process of seeking a job with no success and has appealed to the institution's administration with limited success. Despite these obstacles, this student deserves a safe and secure home in which to continue their studies.
