Hey there! My name is Siobhan! I’m a former Starbucks partner and an active member of Starbucks Workers United seeking reinstatement after having been wrongfully terminated for organizing and partaking in an unfair labor practice strike. On January 19th, three weeks after I returned to work, I was terminated for a violation that supposedly took place on December 26th, my first day back. Since then I’ve received more support than I could ever have asked for from friends and my community. I’ve been job hunting the entire time, and working with my union comrades to fight for my reinstatement.

That being said, the job market is extremely tough right now. Though I’ve applied to at least 40 jobs online and physically handed out over a dozen copies of my resume in person, I’m still searching for employment. After almost a month of filling out applications for jobs that just aren’t hiring, I’ve got three interviews lined up next week.

The reason I’m asking for support again is because I’ve got a car payment and a car insurance payment both coming up in the beginning of March. I’m extremely confident that I’ll land one of these jobs I’m interviewing for in the next week, but I won’t get paid in time to make either of those payments in time.
