Please join me in supporting my dear friend and sister midwife, Namukwaya Monica Trinity, as she works toward continuing her education and expanding her ability to serve mothers and babies in Uganda.
Monica is one of the incredible midwives at Mother Health International’s Yala Yala Birth Center in Northern Uganda — a place where midwives have reduced perinatal mortality by 89% through compassionate, evidence-based care. Every day, Monica serves women in rural communities with skill, grace, and deep love — going the extra mile to reach mothers in need.
Monica is also a single mother, doing everything she can to provide for her children without the safety net of child support. Continuing her studies will not only allow her to earn a better living for her family, but also offer a wider scope of life-saving care for the women she serves.
Unfortunately, the cost of tuition — 8,000,000 Ugandan Shillings (around $2,500 USD) — is far beyond what she can afford on a local midwife’s salary.
If you’ve been following my journey here in Uganda and wondering how you can make a real difference, this is it. Your contribution, no matter the size, will support MHI to empower their midwives which will then ripple out — to uplift countless others.
Every dollar counts. Every share helps. Every act of solidarity matters.
Thank you for helping Monica continue her calling — and for standing for mothers, babies, and midwives everywhere.
