Help a UCI Student Fight an Unjust Misdemeanor Charge
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I never thought I’d be in this position, but I need some help. I’m Calvin Nguyen, a 20-year-old full-time engineering student at UC Irvine, and I recently got hit with a misdemeanor (criminal charge) for doing a wheelie on my electric bike at 10 mph on an empty side street. It sounds ridiculous, but now I’m facing a serious legal battle over what should’ve been, at worst, a simple traffic citation.
The cost of hiring a lawyer to fight my charges is $3,500, which is a huge burden for a college student. As someone who’s already juggling tuition, rent, and school expenses, I simply don’t have the funds to cover this on my own.
I’m reaching out to my friends, family, and anyone who believes in fairness and justice to help me fight this case. Any donation, big or small, would mean the world to me and go directly toward my legal defense.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this would be a huge help! Thank you so much for your support—I truly appreciate it.
TL;DR: Got a misdemeanor for doing a slow wheelie on my e-bike, need help covering my $3,500 lawyer fee to fight it. Anything helps!
