Help A Traumatic Brain Injury Father Glenview IL

On Sunday, June 22, Bahman was standing on top of a chair placing a baby bird that had fallen out of the nest back. He fell and struck his head on the cement floor. After a few minutes, he regained consciousness and was taken to the closest hospital in Glenview. He walked, talked, and followed commands. He was told after a repeat CT he would be discharged home. A few hours later, he was on a ventilator being transferred to another hospital with a catastrophic brain bleed. He has required removal of the scalp and a drain in his brain. He remains in a coma in guarded condition. He was the main source of income for the family. His wife does babysitting for income. He has a 14-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son. His wife has had to go back to work as she now has to pay the mortgage and bills on only her income. We don’t know if he will awake from his coma in 1, 3, or 6 months, or ever. We don’t know how he will be if he awakens. I am opening this GoFundMe for assistance to help the family with bills but also for Bahman’s medical care as he has Medicaid, which does not support significant rehab needs. I ask anyone who has had a family member who was either misdiagnosed or mismanaged in a hospital and lost them too early to help this family. I am asking anyone who had a head injury themselves but was lucky enough to survive to contribute to this unfortunate case.
