Help a Transwoman move and get stable housing in Portland.

Hi. My name is Lilly. I'm a 36-year-old AuDHD transgender woman, 3 years into my transition, Im looking for help to get out of Florida and settled in Portland in a new place to live.

Things have been very unstable for me the last few years and I recently filed for bankruptcy to get out of massive debt and a block from signing a lease with an apartment after starting over following my divorce and getting out of an abusive, violent marriage. I’ve been homeless most of the time since divorcing my x wife and I’ve been on an internship at Disney since may to give me housing.

With the state of things and Florida being very unsafe for transgender people I’m leaving my internship early and I’ve gotten help for my flight. I’m flying out March 7th but I still have to raise money to ship my boxes with my belongings to Portland and the day of the flight pay a $150 pet fee for taking my cat Kairi on the flight.

I’m nearly done packing and I have 10 boxes already packed and probably 3 more to go. With some being larger and some smaller I’m estimating the shipping could be anywhere from $75 a box or more so shipping my belongs will probably cost between $900 and $1200

I’m also trying to find help with rent and a deposit for a new place to live while I look for work and get settled in Portland. I’m trying to find a room for rent around $700 a month which would probably have a deposit around the same amount.

I have some friends I’m staying with for march and some possible people I can stay with while I look for a place to live but I won’t be able to sign a lease anywhere for about 4 months until I have my court date and my bankruptcy case is finalized. So I’ll have a little bit of time to figure out my new living situation.

I have a lot of chronic joint pain and ptsd so I’m unable to do alot of intensive physical jobs and that’s going to make my job search harder.
