Help a Trans Woman in Egypt Break Free and Pursue Her Dreams

My name is eden, and I’m a young trans woman living in Egypt. I graduated from university two years ago, but I’ve been unable to receive my graduation certificate because I still owe 60,000 EGP (around $1,250) in tuition fees. Without this certificate, I can’t apply for my military exemption or pursue my master’s degree—both of which are crucial for my safety and future.

As a trans person in Egypt, I face very real risks, including the threat of conscription into a military that does not recognize or protect people like me. My only path forward—to continue my education, hopefully overseas, and legally avoid conscription— depends on getting this certificate released. which can't happen without securing my bachelor's degree by paying the tuition fees.

I work full-time and have saved up the full amount multiple times, but I am also the sole provider for my family, who take most of my salary every month. I’m stuck in a cycle where I earn, provide, and survive—but can’t move forward.
