Hello, my name is Alessandra, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times of my life.

As a proud trans woman, I’ve worked tirelessly to balance my everyday responsibilities while building a life rooted in dignity, safety, and hope here in Canada. I am currently facing a serious legal matter that directly affects my immigration status and my ability to remain in the country I now call home.

This year has been especially challenging, but thanks to the incredible support I’ve received, I have been able to cover a significant portion of my legal fees. My lawyer’s total cost is over $4,000, and as the year comes to an end, I am now $1,900 away from fully completing the payment.

At the moment, I am on Employment Insurance (EI). I am able to manage my current living expenses, such as rent and basic needs, but paying off the remaining legal fees has been extremely difficult. Unfortunately, working with my lawyer has also been challenging, which has added additional stress during an already overwhelming situation.

Any contribution—no matter how small—will help me close this final gap and fully resolve my legal fees. Your continued support allows me to keep moving forward, protect my status, and focus on building a stable future.
