Hi friends, my name is Cherry, and I am a 19 y/o trans Latina woman. My fiancé and I recently moved from Florida due to the unsafe political climate, and we thought we had an opportunity to move in with my fiancé's mother. Unfortunately, his mother quickly became abusive, calling both of us out of our names, constantly disrespecting us, and even going as far as to abuse our dog. There have been several instances of her being transphobic and just constantly degrading. We have done nothing but respect her and keep our distance, but the need to move out is urgent. She throws our things, invades our privacy, and is uncooperative in any way. Thank you for reading my story, and I thank you for any help you may provide through this scary time. We are struggling to even pay bills here, and we are trying to keep our heads afloat, but it is almost impossible to get ahead when she doesn’t even let us cook in the kitchen, meaning we have to pay for food every day, instead of getting groceries and trying to budget. Financially, she is trying to trap us here to continue the cycle of abuse. Either way, we are trying our best and this is just a last ditch effort to hopefully get ahead :,)
