Our names' are Acacia, Jess, and Mia. The three of us are artists, and are a transgender family currently living in Georgia.

Due to the current political climate and recent legislation, it has become increasingly unsafe and difficult for us to continue living where we are. In particular, our insurance in this state will no longer cover many of our medications and services. After discussing it with friends and family, we have decided to move cross-country to Portland, Oregon, as they are a sanctuary city for LGBT people.

Unfortunately, moving that far is expensive, as is living in a city. The money we need to raise here would cover the cost of travel expenses (moving van, gas for the van and our car, hotels, food, etc.), as well as any fees for moving in to our new place, hopefully the first few month's rent, etc. We'll also be traveling with our cat, Gina, and need to make she's taken care of on the trip.

We're aiming for an overall goal of about $10k to feel safe enough for the move, and are still short $7k of it, so any help we can get here is greatly appreciated!
