1,400 of the money will cover my July and August rent.
650 will go to getting a new laptop.
I'm using an alternate name due to my family being online and not wanting them to find this.
Hi! I'm Pollux. I'm a 20 year old black trans person living with multiple disabilities, my most primary one being asthma. I've been living on my own since 2018 when I escaped my abusive household and have been struggling to make it through the summer. I cannot work due to my disability and will not be able to work until my doctors say it is okay. My laptop, which I use for primarily accepting jobs online and doing what I can to have some semblance of income, has broken, and despite my best efforts, cannot be repaired, due to the charging motherboard being fried. This is a problem, as I need a laptop immensely due to being a college student and having my schoolwork on there. I have reached out to several mutual aid groups and my college, as well as applied for disability and unemployment for aid, but have gotten no answers or have been denied at every turn. I really just need to make it through the summer until August when I can get my Pell Grant and other scholarships, and I'll be able to be self sufficient.
