My Story

Hello, my name is Siam Ahmed, and I am a freshman at Texas State University, majoring in Computer Science.

I come from a low-income background in Bangladesh, where opportunities and resources are limited. Coming to the U.S. for my education has been a dream come true, but it has also been very challenging financially. My family cannot afford to fully support me, and I am doing my best to manage tuition, living expenses, and the tools I need for school.

I have been actively applying for on-campus jobs, but so far haven’t had any luck securing one. This makes it difficult to cover my academic needs, especially having access to a reliable laptop, which is essential for programming, assignments, and classes.

Why I’m Fundraising

I am raising funds to cover the cost of a laptop and some basic educational expenses. This support will directly help me succeed in my Computer Science studies, complete my coursework, and stay on track with my education.

Why This Means So Much

Studying in this field means more than just earning a degree; it’s my path to creating a better future for myself and giving back to my family and community. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me closer to continuing my studies with the tools I need.
