This Go Fund me is to create a “life insurance policy” that I won’t be able to obtain due to a “preexisting condition” obtained while in the Navy from permeable gloves being used for toxic chemicals allowing a “malignant neoplasm of uncertain behavior” to form in my hand that to this day 14 years later we do not know how to cure/treat further. I’ve never been able to reach even one state of remission in 14 years of fighting cancer obtained during my time in the Navy Seabees (which I still do not regret).

Today, I'm a 14 year terminally ill cancer patient (which I am so grateful for because who gets to fight for 14 years) with 4 and 5 year old sons (literal miracle babies) and the most supportive Husband (I love you so BIG, Matty). Unfortunately, I’m also a patient who has declined rapidly the last year and in addition has lost work due to illness with no option for life insurance at all throughout this process, as I obtained the very rare form of Sarcoma (soft & connective tissue cancer) when in the Navy 14 years ago. This last year has been… Difficult would be nice at this point. I fear I have Limited time with my children and my perfect husband, and I just want to do my best for them while I can.

I've spend 14 years trying to fight for a rare Sarcoma cure, essentially being an actual human medical experiment at 3 different cancer hospitals across the country throughout the last 14 years, but am now at the last stop, Memorial Sloan Kettering. I want to ensure my Husband and sons are okay when I'm not available, as the military doesn’t pay survivors' benefits after we pass, EVEN if we are 100% p&t disabled and have obtained cancer from our time in service, in which I did.

My boys need their Mom, but if I cannot be here, they, at the least, deserve to have a Dad who is able to remain as committed to being PRESENT with them as he is and can be today, with the financial support of the closest thing to life insurance we would be able to obtain to protect them should something happen to me and we lose my income AND their Mom. They deserve the Dad he’s able to be now, vs. single dad grieving the loss of a Wife who is also overwhelmed by having to work endless hours and worry about SAFE child care to do so, all while also losing the ability to be present with our children.

I guess maybe this GO FUND ME is to keep my boys from losing both parents at the same time.
