Hello, my name is Mario Aguilar, and I’m reaching out with deep humility and hope.
After 35 years of dedicated service as a teacher, I’ve recently been dismissed from my position. I made a mistake — one that I acknowledge and have already corrected — but instead of receiving support or understanding, I was let go. Now, I find myself facing not only the emotional pain of losing the career I poured my life into, but also a financial crisis that threatens my future.
To make things worse, the school is offering me a very minimal severance package, claiming that I am leaving voluntarily — but the truth is, they made the decision to let me go. What they’re offering barely covers a few months of basic expenses, and it does nothing to help me secure the benefits I’ve worked so hard for.
Here’s what I’m up against:
In order to keep my pension and access to social services, I now have to pay $376 USD every month for the next three years.
If I can’t make these payments, I risk losing my pension and the medical coverage I urgently need to manage a chronic health condition that requires daily medication.
This situation has left me feeling vulnerable, but also determined to fight for what I’ve earned. With your help, I will be able to pay my bills and make the monthly payments to the institution that manages my pension and healthcare services.
Your donation — no matter the amount — will make a real difference. It will help me:
Maintain access to healthcare and vital medication
Preserve my pension and financial security
Cover daily living expenses during this uncertain and difficult time
If you believe in the lifelong impact of educators and the right to retire with dignity, please consider supporting or sharing my campaign. Your help will bring me a step closer to peace of mind and stability.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support.
With deep gratitude,
Mario
