Help a Teacher Fight Cancer
Donation protected
For those of you not aware my mom, Pamela Raquet, has been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in her right breast. Her diagnosis came on September 30th, 2019.
After a 'normal' mammogram in July she knew something wasn't right. She demanded a second opinion and has had an MRI with contrast, a 3D mammogram and 4 biopsies to confirm what she feared was true.
Pam is a wife, sister, and wonderful mother to 3 adult children and a Nana to 2 grandchildren, who she could not spoil any more than she already does.
Her passion in life, second to being a Mom and Nana, is being a teacher. She pours everything she has (financially, emotionally, physically) into being the best, most inspiring teacher she can be for the past 19 years.
Several times a year while teaching about Ancient World History she enriches her students learning by bringing in food, drinks and other hands-on activities from the countries they are learning about. This and many other classroom supplies come right out of her own pocket.
Her journey is going to be long, exhausting, painful and expensive.
Anyone who knows mom, knows that she is not a teacher for the salary.
She has health insurance but it isn't enough. Just her 3D mammogram and 2 biopsies alone cost her $12,000.
As her battle against cancer continues, so do the medical bills.
We want to thank you in advance for sharing and donating if possible. We are extremely grateful for any support to help pay her medical bills and ongoing expenses for the betterment of her health.
