Help a Talented Young Trans Woman Of Color in NYC

Hi Everyone.
So the past few days have been a whirlwind. A family friend contacted me for the first time in a year and came out as transgender. I am incredibly proud of her and very supportive but she's been alternating between living on the streets and living in horrid homeless shelters where drug and sexual abuse is incredibly rampant. This is NOT safe for her.
She does not have a supportive family whatsoever. She was 'let go' from a very well paying job when she started to transition because her co-workers were"uncomfortable" with her. She does not receive much financial assistance from the state. She still hasn't received her Fair Fares NYC Metro Card and 311 keeps hanging up. At the last shelter she was in, someone stole her anxiety medication and some of her HRT (hormone replacement therapy) to help her with transitioning. This is the worst position anyone could be in.
I'm having her stay with me and my roommate for a little while for this emergency situation. She also has a gender reassignment surgery next week.
I am asking for your help.
I am looking at room share options, transitional housing, etc. however it's either expensive (I will be paying for this). My last option is to move out from where I am and get a 2 bedroom for us both.
This puts my current roommate in a complicated situation. He is currently unemployed due to COVID-19. I am hoping to have my goal amount completed so if I can't find a room-share or transitional housing for her, I can at least get my own apartment and pay my roommate for the two months rent (August & September or September & October) so he has enough time to get a new roommate as I would be leaving before our lease is up.
If he does find another roommate, then the funds will go straight to my family friend to help her start private therapy, pay for HRT, and other living expenses that will help her to become independent again.
Thank you for reading, I understand this is a time time financially for everyone. It's difficult to be who you are - I hope you can help her.
P.S. A little about her: She has 4+ years experience working as a fire guard/security guard. She also is excellent at computers and programming.
