Help a Survivor Rebuild After Covid DV and Brain Seizures
Donation protected
I'm a 59-year-old female in the middle of a debilitating financial crisis! In 2021, I almost died from Covid Delta Variant Pneumonia and spent 3 horrific weeks in ICU. For the first 12 days, I was told I wouldn't survive; however, I did, Glory to God. One week after discharge and post-Covid vaccine, I suffered 3 weeks back in the hospital with brain seizures. My lungs are still horribly scarred and probably will never heal. The seizures left me with symptoms similar to a Traumatic Brain Injury, and although I can function most days, some are more difficult due to brain fog, memory issues, delayed processing, and some cognitive issues. I was able to return to work after the seizures, but I struggled daily to perform my job for another 2 years. I have now been unemployed since May 2023, and although I've pursued jobs readily, nothing has come through. I have lost my health insurance, all of my savings and retirement, my only car was repossessed in October 2024, and I was forced to sell my home for $100k under value because my bank accounts were empty. Only through the generosity of a kind woman I barely knew, I now live in 1 room in Van Alstyne, Texas.
I am in the process of applying for government disability, but it will take several months IF approved. I am in need of regular medical care and need a reliable vehicle to get to those appointments and to my church parish. In full transparency, I've accumulated a substantial amount of debt, and my credit score has plummeted from 795-800 down to 415, so I can't qualify for any apt or housing right now. I've worked very hard all of my life, at times balancing 2 or 3 jobs. I am highly intelligent and under normal circumstances would be a very hard worker.
I need money to purchase an older, but reliable vehicle to go to medical appointments, look for employment, and cover daily living expenses ... and my only son is getting married next month! I do not use illicit drugs and very rarely drink any alcohol.
I've never asked for help like this before, but I'm hoping that my story will touch your heart in some way and move you to donate towards this cause of survival. I am one step away from homelessness and doing everything I can possibly think of in order to survive until I can get back on my feet financially. My need for help is URGENT!
Thank you for your time and consideration. God Bless you!!! ❤️
