For those hearing about my dad’s story for the first time, I wish I were writing under different circumstances. What we’re going through is something no family ever imagines — a sudden, terrifying shift that changed our lives in an instant.
While flying home from a trip abroad, my dad suffered a massive heart attack — 30,000 feet in the air. No hospital. No emergency room. Just a plane full of passengers, the open sky, and precious minutes ticking by.
Somehow, by what can only be described as a miracle and the sheer willpower of a man who loves his family more than anything, he held on. He held on for his wife, his daughters, for the life he wasn’t ready to leave behind.
As soon as the plane landed, he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The doctors immediately knew they had to act fast to save him. They performed emergency open-heart surgery. It was the kind of surgery you hope your loved ones never need — high-risk, intense, and absolutely necessary.
But the damage was severe. The left side of his heart wasn’t functioning, so they had to implant an LVAD — a device that takes over the job of pumping blood through the body, keeping him alive while his heart tries to recover. It’s a machine that buys time, and right now, time is everything.
My dad is currently in the ICU, hooked up to machines, sedated, and surrounded by a team of incredible doctors and nurses doing everything they can. He’s fighting with every ounce of strength he has left. Every hour is a new hurdle. Every day is a battle to stay alive.
For those who know him, you know that my dad is the heart of our family — the one who always shows up, who loves quietly but deeply, who would do anything for the people he loves. He is the kind of man who never asks for help, and yet now, he needs it more than ever.
We’re doing everything we can to support him — emotionally, physically, financially. But the weight of this crisis is heavy, and we can’t carry it alone.
If you’re able to help in any way — through a donation, by sharing his GoFundMe, or simply by keeping him in your thoughts and prayers — we would be so deeply grateful. Every share, every kind word, every gesture of support is a lifeline.
This isn’t just a medical emergency — it’s our father, our rock, our world. And we are doing everything in our power to bring him home.
Thank you for standing with us in this fight. Your love and support mean more than words can ever fully express.
