Help Us Rebuild: Single Mom & Kids in Urgent Need

I am a single mother of two amazing children. For a couple of years, I lived in a relationship filled with financial, and emotional abuse. It took every ounce of courage, prayer, and faith in God for me to finally end it. I was determined to protect my children and build a better life for us.

After ending the relationship, I faced an extreme amount of harassment and attempts to damage my reputation and isolate me from my loved ones. This made an already painful transition even harder, but my faith in God and my commitment to my children have kept me moving forward.

For the past five years, we had been renting a home in Orcutt where I worked hard to give my children some sense of stability and normalcy. Unfortunately two months after endingthe abusive relationship, my landlord showed up to let me know the owner of the home decided to sell. We lost the one place that had felt safe. Having to move out so suddenly, on top of everything else, has been heartbreaking and destabilizing.

Because I have not been receiving the child support (not court ordered) that I should be, we’ve been struggling financially. A few weeks ago, we lost our entire storage unit — everything we had saved for our new place, including most of my children’s personal belongings. I know they’re just material things, but they were memories, keepsakes, and necessities we had worked so hard to hold on to. Losing that has been devastating.

Last Friday, after weeks of uncertainty, we were approved for a few weeks at a hotel so we could have a consistent place of shelter. It felt like a blessing and gave us a moment of hope. But on that very same day, our car was impounded. For months I have needed to update the registration, but was refused. The title from my ex. Losing the car was devastating for me and my kids — without it, we have no way to get to work or school. The hotel we’re staying in is in a city outside of where we live, and without transportation, everything we had planned for the next few weeks changed overnight.

I have a couple of great agencies working to help us find housing as soon as possible, but this setback has taken a serious emotional and physical toll on me. Missing work because of these circumstances makes it even harder to get back on my feet.

Still, I’m not giving up. My kids deserve stability, and I know that with God’s help and the kindness of others, we can get there.

I’m raising funds to help cover:
• Reliable transportation so I can keep working and caring for my children (trying to get it out of impound) by the grace of God, a family member was able to retrieve a bill of sale. Now it can be registered in my name and pulled out of the impound once I have the funds. The price of it being in the impound increases daily.
• general necessities, food, busses/train
• Legal and essential expenses related to child support and rebuilding our lives

I’ve always try to handle everything myself, and I truly hate asking for help. But right now we’re in real need.

I’m raising funds to:
• Get our car out of impound and back on the road
• Cover basic necessities, food, and transportation
• Handle legal and essential expenses to rebuild our lives

Any amount you give will make a real difference for my family. Your generosity is more than just financial help — it’s a message to my children that we are not alone, that people care, and that love and kindness are still stronger than hardship.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading our story. Please consider donating and sharing our campaign so we can start the next chapter of our lives in safety and hope.
