I am starting this GoFundMe for someone I am very close to—someone I consider family. She is currently trapped in a situation that is not safe, facing both physical violence and emotional abuse. Over time, she has endured repeated assaults, including being punched, strangled, and hit so hard that her phone flew from her hand and hit the wall. She has been attacked while sitting on the toilet, and once, while in the car, she was grabbed by her hair, slapped, and left with welts on her face. She managed to escape by jumping out of the car and hiding until it was safe. Now, she is isolated in a place where she has no friends and no money, and her only companions are her beloved dogs, whom she refuses to leave behind for many important reasons.

Despite everything, my friend remains a kind and caring person. In her past, she has taken in people who needed help—unwanted children, adults who just needed a chance, and even her ex-husband, who lost everything to addiction. She has always tried to find happiness and help others, but the daily reality she faces makes it nearly impossible. Her resilience is remarkable, but she needs help to escape this dangerous situation and start over in a safe place.

The goal of this fundraiser is to raise enough money for her to purchase a vehicle and cover travel expenses, so she can safely leave her current environment with her dogs and begin a new chapter.
