Hi, I am a college student looking to get the miraDry procedure to treat my hyperhidrosis of my underarms. Hyperhidrosis is a condition that causes excessive sweating. It is an uncontrollable issue where sweat glands are overactive and frequently produce more sweat than is necessary. It's often said that people with hyperhidrosis have sweat glands that are stuck in the "on" position, which can have a significant impact on daily life. Excessive underarm sweat, or primary axillary hyperhidrosis, often goes untreated despite being the most bothersome and common form of excessive sweating.

I've had situations where my underarms would be dripping with sweat and I would have to change my shirt multiple times a day. It has greatly affected my school life, work life, and social life. I'm not quite sure when this condition started, but I've had it for as long as I can remember. I've tried several treatments to see what would stick, like underarm sweat pads, body powder, anti-sweat deodorant, or SweatBlock, but nothing has worked! Although there are many other treatments that exist, like Botox injections or oral anticholinergics, there is only one permanent, non-surgical treatment: miraDry.
