Help a Student Fight Blood Cancer

Let's work together to support Pakistani PhD Student, of Geology, SOHAIB Ahmed, who is currently studying at James Cook University (Townsville) on a scholarship. On the 18th of March, 2021, Sohaib had been diagnosed with Blood Cancer.
SOHAIB never had any health issues prior to this. Just a small persistent abdomen pain, urged the GP to do some Blood tests which, resulted in the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Sometimes in life, you can only comprehend the word tragedy when it hits you, in a way that your mind is unable to process the functions of it. Tragically, this diagnosis is what he and, his family are now suffering from.
SOHAIB, who is only 33 years old, still has his wife and, two kids (a 4-year-old son and, 1.5-year-old daughter) who are residing in Pakistan. His Chemo started a week after the diagnosis and, he will need a Bone Marrow Transplant after four to six months of Chemo. His insurance is currently assisting and providing him with Chemotherapy.
However, the insurance does not cover the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), doctors have suggested that SOHAIB goes back to Pakistan for BMT surgery. In Pakistan a BMT Surgery will cost 70,000 AUD alone because, private health cover will cost at least $1,000,000 - $2,000,000 AUD. We (his friends, from the Townsville community), are arranging money for him to go back to Pakistan and, receive the BMT Surgery. In hope, once he fully recovers will be able to return to Australia to complete his PhD.
Currently, the scholarship will only support him and, his family until a certain time and, then will cease. Sohaib will then use, at least two months of his medical leave to support his chemotherapy.
This is why we would greatly appreciate, your generosity in supporting Sohaib during this time of need. Whatever you are willing to donate, will be truly appreciated. This fundraiser will surely help him receive the treatment he deserves and, allow him to fully recover and, live a better life with his family.
