Edit for Huge news: my sister and a friend were able to make a huge difference today. The goal has gone down from $900 to $350. I can't thank these people enough and I can't thank my donors enough, either. Thank you!

I understand there's a lot of people out there who don't agree with the choices Im choosing to make for myself, so I don't expect too many people to donate anything. I have top surgery scheduled for mid-june this year and the only thing keeping me from that is the $900 I have left on my out-of-pocket maximum on my health insurance. Once it's met, my insurance will cover it and I'll be able to get this done. The practice is giving me a deadline of May 11th to pay this balance off.

I wouldn't be asking for money if I really had any other legitimate choice. I'm a 19-year-old full-time college student who still needs to afford basic necessities. My parents have never been supportive of my transition, and while I've made peace with that fact it still causes a lot of issues for me.

My dysphoria has been destroying my mental and physical health for the past 7 years. HRT has helped considerably but I know for a fact I'll finally be able to feel like a strong, confident adult once I get this surgery done.
