Hi all! My name is Vera, I'm a 20 year old transfem student, who's been living out of home since 16. Towards the end of 2024, I lost my full-time job and had about a months worth of savings to survive on, forcing me to move back with family, since I hadn't found a job in time.

Currently, while my housing is relatively stable, it is unfortunately not a safe environment. I'm looking to get any assistance I can in helping myself escape the debt I'm in from a loan I had to take out in 2023, to stock up on some necessary medication, feed myself, and to have a stable footing that will help me find safe accommodation.

Despite all this, however, I do make one request. If you do choose to donate money to help me out, I ask that you please make sure that you can comfortably afford it. That's all. And even if you can't, just helping out by sharing this fundraiser is incredibly appreciated.

If you would like some more specific information about my current situation, I'll share it below, but it is optional reading, so don't stress.

To keep it as brief as possible, I returned back to living with my family near the end of 2024, after having lived out of home since May of 2021, meaning that I had to come out to my family.

At the time, my dad seemed to be supportive, but after having moved back in with him, he started treating me very poorly again, like he did when I initially moved out. He started threatening to sell the house, saying he wouldn't allow me or his mother (who owns the house) to let me stay with them after they moved.

This wouldn't have been a massive worry for me, if I was employed. I've been applying for employment since I lost my last casual job in January, with the first month of unemployment having been spent without an income, meaning I had to sink myself into more debt to cover bills and to feed myself until my student payments picked up.

These payments still barely help, though. I receive enough to pay for my phone repayments, my other debts, my rent, leaving me with barely enough to cover groceries. In most cases, it's not even enough to feed myself for the whole payment period, though.
