Most of Frank's friends and family know of the battle he's been facing with pancreatic cancer. While Frank is winning that battle, he has recently been hospitalized at Branford Hills Health Care to help him literally get back on his feet. Unfortunately, health care is not always there for us in our most devastating times. An educator all his life- in the classroom, on the lacrosse field and at home, we cannot let Frank's life's savings dwindle away as he fights his hardest.
He needs to be at Branford Hills for at least 30 days to get him walking again, but insurance wants him out much sooner than that, within days of this writing.
Frank and his wife are now looking at and faced with having to pay their life savings in an effort for him to be where he needs to be. This is not right, this is not something we would want our loved ones or ourselves to have to deal with.
Frank Barron is incredibly loyal and the most generous spirit I know. The least any of us could do to is to help him during the roughest time in his life, and for all that he has done for thousands of students and players in his 48 year career.
On a personal level, the fight for pancreatic cancer is very near to myself after losing my dad to such a horrible disease. Watching my best friend and mentor go through this, and now with this even crueler development, I had no choice but to start this GoFundMe page. Please consider helping us out. No matter how big or how small.
Even if you cannot donate, or don't even know Frank, please share this. Chances are someone you love has been impacted by him in some positive way. Thank you, Jim
