Help a State Trooper fired over vaccine mandate
Donation protected
Earlier this summer, the Brici family welcomed their daughter – the happiest day of their lives. Born prematurely after a high-risk pregnancy and an emergency C-section after her mother fell ill, she brought incredible joy to the family. Everything was great – they had just bought and remodeled their first home, and Iosif was working as a Washington State Trooper. An immigrant from Romania, Iosif loves the United States, and the freedom his new home had provided him. As a Trooper, e served the community with dignity and honor.
But then, just like that, this very freedom he came here for was taken away from him when Governor Inslee signed a mandate requiring all Washington State workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or lose their jobs.
A man of deep faith, Iosif followed the requirements of the mandate and was granted a religious exemption. That, however, did not save his job when the State Patrol refused to accommodate him. He was fired on October 18, along with over a hundred State troopers. With his termination, the family lost their entire income, as well as all benefits, including medical insurance, that he and his family desperately need to take care of their baby who still requires specialized medical visits, as well as expensive special formula.
Iosif is trying hard to find a new job as an LEO, and has wasted no time applying. But his family needs support to make it through this period of transition.
Despite their hardship, the family was very reluctant to ask for financial help. They accepted our offer to organize this fundraiser on their behalf because of the needs of their daughter, who means everything to them. All proceeds will go to the Brici family, and we will provide accounting on the transfers, as well as updates on Iosif's job search. The funds will be used to pay for medical bills for the Brici's daughter, as well as living expenses.
If like us, you believe that firing our Law Enforcement officers who have sacrificed so much for our safety over a capricious and overly strict vaccine mandate is unfair, please help the Brici family. In the face of incredible hardship, they chose to remain true to themselves and their principles. Not everyone can do this! This is not about the vaccine itself, this is about the very principles upon which this country was founded on... the principles that Iosif and many others left their countries and came here to serve and protect.
Iosif did just that... he stood up and chose freedom.
