Eric is one of the hardest working people I know. He’s a mechanic and small business owner who has built his work through dedication, long hours, and genuine care for his customers. He shows up every day ready to do his best, no matter what conditions he’s working in.
Right now, those conditions are not safe.
The garage he rents is in very poor shape and has become a serious health and safety concern. The space is cramped and overcrowded, creating fire hazards. There are electrical issues, no running water or restroom, and no proper heat or air conditioning. The ventilation is poor, there is mold in the walls from moisture, and the concrete floor is breaking down. The structure itself is not in good condition, and it makes an already demanding job even more difficult and risky.
On top of that, Eric is dealing with a back injury. The hoist he has is barely big enough to move larger automotive parts, and because of the limited space and the poor condition of the concrete floor, just using it can be unsafe. He’s often forced to work in awkward positions or without proper support, which puts constant strain on his back. This has caused his slipped disc to flare up repeatedly every few months, leaving him in severe, sometimes debilitating pain. Even with that, he continues to push through because he cares so much about his work and his customers.
Space in the garage is so limited that there is no proper workbench or a place for him to sit and rest when he needs to. Everything about the space works against his health instead of supporting it.
One of the biggest challenges is that there are very few affordable spaces in our area that are actually safe and suitable for this kind of work. He has the customer base and the demand to grow his business, but the garage is holding him back in a major way.
Eric has the skills to do so much more. He knows how to weld, sandblast, and do powder coating, but he simply doesn’t have the space or proper setup to use those skills. With the right environment, he could expand his services, take on more work, and truly reach his full potential.
What he needs is a safe, functional space where he can work without risking his health and where his business has room to grow.
I’m asking for help to make that possible. Any support would mean the world to us. It would not only give him a safer place to work, but also the opportunity to build something stable for his future.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting someone who works incredibly hard and just needs a fair chance to move forward.
