Dear Family and Friends and those who come across this page,
A little about me:
In 2018, I entered the religious community of the Sisters of Mary Morning Star in Ghent, MN.
The sisters are a contemplative community of sisters, meaning our main work is prayer for the Church and for the world. We rely on God's providence to be able to live our contemplative vocation, and it's thanks to the generosity of the communities around our priories, through monetary and food donations, that we can live. However, it's our intention to always cooperate with the gifts that God provides so we also work and live off the works of our hands through monastic and artisanal crafts we make and sell. Each sister is trained in manual work from leather craft, to soap making, candle making and painting, Rosaries, woodwork etc.
I had the opportunity in 2022-2023 in Spain to begin pottery with a sister who taught me the basics. Later, I was sent off to Australia from Jan 2024-September 2025 to serve and help the priory there. During that time, I was able to build a small workshop there to continue to progress. In September 2025, I left Australia to come back to the American Novitiate in Ghent, MN and I was able to squeeze some tools into my luggage that my family donated. However, I'm starting from nothing and am hoping to raise funds to have a small workshop here to help support my priory and continue to progress.
I am in most need of a pottery wheel.
Please consider a donation, if you are able! If 18 people donated $50 I'd make my goal!)--this will go to the list of tools on this page. By donating, you support my work and my community since everything I'll be able to make through the tools and materials will be sold to help us live our contemplative vocation, as well as helping me develop my skills as a potter.
For donors, I hope to make you each a little gift if I'm able to get this workshop up and going! Please send me your address if you'd like one!
Thank you so much, and be assured of my prayers!
