I have started this fundraiser for my beautiful friend who needs corrective surgery after a traumatic C Section. She has given permission for me to share her story-

I am a single parent who escaped DV. Three years ago, I experienced a traumatic emergency caesarean section during childbirth. While it brought my child safely into the world, the aftermath has left me with ongoing physical complications that have progressively worsened over time.

Since that surgery, I have been living with significant abdominal damage including a painful scar mass, severe muscle separation, and excess skin that is now causing ongoing irritation, discomfort, and increasing health concerns. What started as recovery has turned into a long-term medical issue that affects my daily life, mobility, and overall wellbeing.

After years of monitoring and medical review, I have now been advised that abdominal reconstructive surgery is medically necessary. Without it, there is risk of further internal complications and ongoing deterioration.

The total cost of the required surgery is $17,260.00. Medicare will only cover $762.00, leaving a significant out-of-pocket gap that I am unable to cover on my own. This surgery is corrective and medically required to repair damage from my emergency C-section, address the muscle separation, remove problematic scar tissue, and resolve the physical symptoms that are affecting my health and quality of life.

As a single parent, I carry full responsibility for my child. This has been a long and difficult journey, both physically and emotionally.
