Hi, I’m Lucy, i live in Market Harborough. Im a single mum to a 2-year-old little girl.

Right now, I can’t safely let her play in our own garden.

After a long-running issue with a collapsed fence (almost a year now) next to a building site, the boundary issue has now been resolved and i am taking it upon myself replace the fence myself.

At the moment, there’s nothing properly separating our garden from a live building site and nearby road.

As a parent, that’s a constant worry. I can’t take my eyes off her for a second, and that’s not how it should be.

I’ve done everything I can—temporary fixes, chasing authorities (planning, environmental, H+S, building regs, citizens advice, council, police) but nothing fixes it properly. I now need to install a proper, secure fence. The cost is around £2,000–£3,000, which I simply can’t afford on my own.

I’m asking for help to make our home safe.
