Help A Single Mother Rebuild After Devastating Fire
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Shauntel. On October 17th, 2024, our home was destroyed by a fire. We just moved in on October 5th, and I hadn't yet obtained renter's insurance. My focus was trying to get everything put together and get our home organized. I am also a full-time student.
The hardest part is knowing that my children, who depend on me for everything, are now without the basic things they need. Their clothes, toys, school supplies, etc. My car was also in the garage, so I now don't have transportation. All of my books for school and esthetician supplies, clothes, etc., were lost. It's overwhelming to think of where to start when it feels like we are starting from nothing.
As their only parent, it's my responsibility to help them heal, to give them a sense of normalcy, and to rebuild our lives. But right now, I'm facing this mountain of challenges alone. The cost of replacing essential items, finding a new place to live, and ensuring my children can still feel safe and loved is more than I can handle by myself.
I'm reaching out to ask for help, not just for myself, but for my children. Anything you can give will help us begin to rebuild—from basic necessities like clothing and food to the stability of having a roof over our heads again. Any donation is appreciated, but we will also take all the prayers we can get.
