Help a Single Mother In Desperate Need
My name is Carolanne. I'm 33. I'm a single mom, student, water protector and domestic violence survivor. I appreciate it for those of you who stick around to hear my story.
I have two beautiful boys. Joey who is 9, and Johnny, who is 4. In December 2021, I was diagnosed with a brain disease called Chiari Malformation Type 1 and told that I need to have brain surgery. I was let go of from my job two weeks before Christmas and told it was because of my diagnosis. I was devastated.
One week before Christmas, my car that I depend on to pay the bills, pick and drop the boys up from school, to get groceries, to go to the many doctors appointments, etc. - finally broke down, blown engine. I had just paid almost $2k to get a hole in the subframe welded, and over $400 for snow tires prior to being let go of from my job earlier that month, and was paying $250 a week out of pocket towards my sons Pre-k. I was barely making ends meet that month.
Amidst all of this, my younger sons father was/is actively leaving me in fear for my life, and the safety of my family. He was released on house arrest 1 minute from my house, awaiting sentencing on 27 charges, 10 felonies, and is continuing to break the order of protection. I had made the permanent choice to leave the abusive relationship in 2020 after 7 years. I have been working with crisis services and my DV advocate through IDV court with help to relocate as soon as possible, such as moving costs, storage fees.I have been sending out resumes as well as looking for houses. I have already researched the universities and spoke with the directors of my major. I have a plan.
Without a vehicle, executing this plan is impossible, along with making my daily activities tremendously harder to accomplish, especially during the winter months as a single mother.
These funds will be used towards a car, insurance and registration so that I can return to work and save my money to relocate and as soon as possible, getting my family back to a safe situation, get my brain surgery and finally go back to school.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering to donate to my family during this desperate time of need. I am humbly coming to you all for help and I understand times are hard for everyone so if you can only share or say a prayer for us, that is help enough. If you feel called to donate directly to my cashapp, you can donate to: Cashapp: $carolannec113
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
